(Press Release) A visit to Japan by Libyan Delegation

Mr. Omar ABULIFA, Member of the Libyan General National Congress, Chairman of the Constitutional Legislative Committee of the General National Conference and Mr. Mahmoud AL-GHRIANI, Member of the Constitutional Legislative Committee visited Japan from November 14th until November 18th 2013. The overview of the visit is as follows:

  • The Libyan Delegation had a meeting with Mr. Kenji KOSAKA, Chairman of Commission on the Constitution of House of Councillors, and also with Mr. Kosuke HORI, Chairman of Commission on the Constitution of the House of Representatives in order to establish bridges of relations between the Libyan General National Congress and the Japanese Diet, and study the Japanese parliamentarian model. 

 

  • The Delegation also had a courtesy visit to Mr. Nobuo KISHI, Parliamentary Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs.  Also Ms. Yuriko Koike, Member of the House of Representatives of Japan and chairman of Japan – Libya Friendship Association

 

  • There has been a study tour arranged for the Delegation including visiting Kyoto and Nagoya.  

 

  • The recent visit by the Libyan Delegation came among efforts aiming to strengthen mutual relations between Japan and Libya throughout continued consultation on various levels.
